Claude "T." Moorman, III, MD is a native of North Carolina where he graduated from Duke University with an AB Degree in English. He was a District Selection for Academic All-American in Football and was a two-year starter and three-year letterman for the Blue Devils. He completed medical School at the University of Cincinnati before returning to Duke for Orthopaedic Residency. Fellowship Training in Sports Medicine was completed at the Hospital for Special Surgery before beginning his academic career at the University of Maryland. As Head Team physician for the Baltimore Ravens, Moorman earned a Super Bowl Ring in 2000! Moorman was recruited back to Duke where he is currently Professor and Vice-Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery and Head Team Physician for the Duke Blue Devils. During his tenure at Duke, the Blue Devils have won 2 National Championships in Basketball, Three in Lacrosse, and participated in Three consecutive Football Bowl games. Moorman has authored 150 papers and is also a professor in the undergraduate department of Evolutionary Anthropology(Anatomy). Research interests include Multiple-Ligament-Knee-Injury (MLKI), Muscle Strain Injury, Shoulder Instability, and Rotator Cuff Injury. He has been the Shoulder Chair for the OSET meeting since it's inception.
